This online Bullying and Harassment training for Managers course is designed for the leaders and managers within your organisation. It aims to help the user to create a positive culture by providing practical guidance for preventing bullying in the workplace.

This course will help you better understand bullying and harassment, their effects on the workforce, and how to both prevent and tackle bullying within your team.

The course covers the importance of zero tolerance bullying policies, handling complaints, what the differences are between bullying and harassment, and how to prevent and tackle bullying and harassment at work.

This course is split into two sections.

1. What are bullying and harassment?

This sections sets out the difference between bullying and harassment. Be sure to listen as two questions follow this to ensure you have understood the differences.

This section also explores different examples of power imbalances as, in most cases, bullying and harassment takes place because of a power imbalance and also explores the differences between Strong Management and Bullying Management.

This section concludes with a look at the effects that bullying and harassment can have on both the company and individual people.

2. Managing bullying and harassment

This section of the course focuses on how to prevent bullying behaviour and how to respond to any cases that do occur. This includes what should be included in a Bullying and Harassment Policy, risk assessments and a breakdown of the steps of how to respond to a claim both formally and informally. This section concludes with how you can create a positive workplace.

There are two questions in this section to ensure that you have understood the content.

Conclusion

On completion of this course you will have learnt what is meant by bullying, harassment, victimisation, and discrimination, understand what legal protections exist and know how to respond to any claim of bullying brought to you.

As a Manager it will also provide awareness of the importance of creating a fair, inclusive, and friendly working environment for your team and the benefits that this can bring to both to the company and individuals.

The course concludes with a test and on successful completion a printable CPD accredited certificate will be available for download.
