This online Conflict Resolution training course is designed for the use of all levels of employees.
The course offers various techniques that can be used to improve productivity, problem solving and communication and the techniques will also help to improve and repair personal and working relationships. There are also steps that can be followed for handling on-going and serious conflicts.
This course consists of three sections.
Conflict is common at work. People with different personalities, opinions, beliefs and ways of working are all sharing the same space.
There is always a reason for conflict and having the right set of skills can help you identify it and respond to it in a healthy way.
There are four different types of conflict, including in the persons mind, between two people, within a group, or between different groups.
Sometimes conflict is minor and it won’t need too much time or attention. The course looks at three simple techniques that are often enough to resolve the situation. These are positive body language, Triple-Filter Test and the Silver Lining. The course takes each one of these and explains it in detail.
Watch out for the end of section question to ensure you have understood the content.
In this section the course takes a closer look at more techniques that can be used to resolve conflict including, logical thinking, emotional intelligence, communication and problem solving. Not all tools are needed in all situations however, so it’s about using what’s appropriate for the conflict in question.
So far the course will have covered simple, informal techniques that you can use to resolve a variety of conflicts on your own. But it’s not always that simple. Ongoing conflict at work can make life pretty miserable. It will have a negative impact on your motivation and productivity and therefore the quality of your work. More importantly, it can result in mental and physical health problems if it’s causing long term stress. You may even find yourself on the receiving end of really unreasonable or even threatening behaviour and that’s when your organisation will need to step in.
In this section, the course covers another useful tool with just a few simple steps to manage ongoing or serious disagreements and will also take a quick look at what you can expect from your organisation if you cannot resolve the situation with the steps set out in this course.
On completion of this course you will have learnt the skills to reach a positive outcome if you find yourself in the middle of a conflict.
There is a test at the end of this course to ensure you have understood the content and if completed successfully, you will be provided with a printable certificate.
